Senior Interior Designer

With a portfolio of innovative projects on the horizon, we are seeking passionate and inspiring Senior Interior Designers, to help us create extraordinary luxury spaces

Role & Responsibilities

  • Ability to deliver a strong pitch or presentation with confidence in public speaking
  • Ability to push the team, inspire new ideas, helping source new furniture and art and bring original fresh thoughts to the studio
  • Act as Project Leader on a portfolio of smaller scale projects, fully develop design, manage team, and see through to fruition
  • Attending regular internal design team meetings and assisting the designers on the conceptual and technical side of the design presentation
  • Be aware of key invoicing deadlines and make the Operations Director aware of any project changes that would impact project financials
  • Check schedules and design intent package to ensure brief is being met
  • Check that thorough administrative records are being maintained
  • Design and cost up FF&E projects in line with brief
  • Design and develop elements on large scale projects under the guidance of a Director
  • Design bespoke joinery / FF&E / supplying technical drawings
  • Develop project knowledge and technical skills
  • Develop project knowledge, attend trade fairs, and attend supplier meetings
  • Establishing detailed project timelines with internal milestones and leading kick-off meetings at each design phase/wrap -up meetings on handover
  • File weekly project reports on status of projects
  • Identify successful details and lessons from projects for TH DNA
  • Monitor project programmes ensuring deadlines are met
  • Monitor weekly team timesheets to confirm in line with budgets and hour allocations set
  • Review and check FF&E design, furniture plans and pricing on major projects ready for sign off

Knowledge & Skills

  • 5-6 years’ of professional design experience
  • Ability to interface with clients interpreting and delivering their requirements
  • Experience in AutoCAD and SketchUp
  • Experience of training and coaching Junior Designers
  • Financial understanding of project costs and budget awareness
  • Knowledge of high-end residential FF&E Procurement processes
  • Knowledge of technical design
  • Proficient in managing and tracking projects to create a smooth flow of work within the practice
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proven track record of designing and managing large scale projects at the high end of the market with very limited direction
  • Relevant Interior Design Qualification

Qualities

  • Ability to provide guidance on projects and act as a Line Manager (where appropriate)
  • Approachable and professional manner with clients and suppliers and ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Can operate with little direction & support
  • Confident in acting as Project Leader on small scale projects
  • Excellent attitude – an appreciate of the Company’s ethos and ways of working
