When a client of over ten years relocated to Connecticut, they commissioned Taylor Howes to reconfigure their new 18,000 square feet family home, with warmth and sensitivity. Working in close collaboration, we transformed a complex and vast number of rooms into personalised and detailed spaces that catered for every element of the client’s lifestyle. From a Master Suite that included a female dressing room designed around seasonal collections, to a hidden private office, a homework room for the children and separate rooms where passions for art-making, recipe-prepping and entertaining could be enjoyed. Every detail of day-to-day living was considered including a hidden door set into one of the panels of the hand-embroidered, silk headboard in the Master Suite.
