18/12/25A final festive note of the year from Taylor Howes…
As we round off the final working week of 2025, we wanted to share a note of reflection and gratitude for all that this year has held.
On Thursday 4th December, we had the pleasure of attending the 16th annual Place2Be Christmas Carol, an event dedicated to raising awareness and support for children’s mental health. Founded by our CEO and her husband, Karen and Andrew Howes, and now chaired by Taylor Howes alumni Penny Sainsbury, founder of Peridot PR, the evening was filled with joy and festive warmth, yet also served as a poignant reminder of how fortunate we are and how much we have to be thankful for.
Curated by Ambassador Sophie Dahl and hosted by YolanDa Brown OBE, the concert opened the festive season with memorable performances and readings from Jamie Cullum, Paloma Faith, Laura Wright, Dominic West and Laura Dockrill. The Allen Edwards Primary School choir filled the church with their beautiful voices, while Elif Morales’ story highlighted the transformative impact of Place2Be’s work. YolanDa Brown closed the night with a musical medley, helping the event’s 16-year legacy surpass £900,000 raised in support of children’s mental health.
The evening was far more than a celebration. It supported Place2Be, the UK’s leading children’s mental health charity, which for over 30 years has worked within schools to help young people express their feelings, build resilience and develop healthy coping strategies. Their embedded model places a dedicated mental health professional in each partner school, ensuring early, accessible support before challenges escalate. As demand for children’s mental health services continues to grow, the funds raised will help Place2Be reach even more young people, giving them a safe and trusted space to feel heard, understood and supported.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the night and to all who have contributed to the charity over the years. As we look ahead, we warmly invite those who feel able to support Place2Be’s vital work to consider making a donation. Every contribution, whether large or small, helps change the lives of children who need it most.
Wishing you and your loved ones a joyful, peaceful Christmas and a wonderful start to the New Year.
Thank you for your continued support, your kindness and your partnership throughout 2025.
We look forward to an inspiring and uplifting 2026 together, which will kickstart with the launch of our Kaleidoscope trend report. Watch this space!
