A Note From Us

October has been a month of discovery, a time to explore, connect, and be inspired. From the creative energy of Frieze London to the sculptural beauty of PAD and the celebration of craftsmanship at Decorex, we’ve been immersed in a world of new ideas, remarkable talent, and innovative design.

Each encounter has left us inspired, a reminder of how dynamic and ever-evolving our industry is, and how design continues to surprise and move us in new ways.

As we enter the final months of the year, the studio is buzzing with energy. This is always one of our busiest and most rewarding seasons, a time of project milestones and exciting announcements that we can’t wait to share with you!

Global Residential & Interior Design Trends | Knight Frank x Taylor Howes

Earlier this month, we were delighted to host over 60 guests in our Knightsbridge studio for a morning in conversation with Liam Bailey, Global Head of Research at Knight Frank, and our Founder & CEO Karen Howes. Together, they explored the shifting landscape of global residential development and the evolving meaning of luxury design.

Knight Frank’s latest research revealed a striking rise in branded residences, from 200 schemes in 2011 to more than 600 today, signalling how identity, lifestyle, and community are reshaping what it means to live well. The discussion delved into how design is responding: from bespoke craftsmanship and wellness-led living to homes designed around personal passions and meaningful experiences.

The takeaway was clear, the future of luxury living lies at the intersection of market intelligence and design innovation. As Karen Howes shared: “creating interiors that truly connect with people means designing spaces with authenticity, beauty, and purpose”

PAD London

This year’s PAD London offered a masterclass in how design can connect art, emotion, and craftsmanship. Every piece felt like a conversation between material and maker, from a sculptural sofa that invites touch, to a contemporary take on traditional Indian metalwork defined by balance and precision.

Highlights included the hand-sculpted Besos chair, a gentle reminder to choose love, and the ethereal Bijoux glass tables, inspired by Balanchine’s ballet with movement and light. The Metamorphosis chairs blurred the line between function and art, transforming everyday form into sculpture.

PAD reminded us that exceptional design doesn’t simply fill a room, it changes the way we experience it.

Frieze London

This year’s Frieze London was a powerful reminder of art’s ability to both reflect and challenge the world around us. Across the fair, emerging voices and celebrated names came together in a dialogue that blurred boundaries between materials and ideas.

From installations that questioned perception to works redefining narrative and form, the energy was one of exploration and reinvention.

At Taylor Howes, these moments of creative exchange resonate deeply. Just like art, design is a living conversation, shaped by emotion and vision, We left Frieze inspired by the imagination and dialogue that continue to drive our industry forward.

Hosted by Carol Concert Champion and Place2Be Ambassador Sophie Dahl, the evening will feature an incredible line-up including Jamie Cullum, mezzo-soprano Laura Wright, and the talented pupils of Allen Edwards Primary School Choir. It promises to be a truly magical celebration of music, community, and festive spirit.
